The famous iconic Captain Birds Eye character has undergone a face lift to appear younger with distinct rugged good looks. The frozen food giant wanted to evolve their seafaring brand character into a more contemporary version. IHQ commissioned Chris Mitchell to create a new Captain to feature within the Birds Eye holding device. Chris provided number of alternative character exploration sketches to help agree pose, character and expression. A chosen route was then developed where line style, lighting and colours were refined through a development process. The final Captain illustration by Chris is the new single interpretation of Captain Birds Eye to feature cross all countries.
