The visual identity for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the bronze BAFTA mask was originally created for the awards in 1955. Chris Mitchell was commissioned by the design company Rose to create an illustrative icon that conveyed the wonder and prestige associated with winning a BAFTA. The icon had to be crafted in such a way that it could feature to best advantage, across all platforms and sizes in one colour line.
