Cambodian brewed Angkor Beer required a brand refresh to improve relevancy amongst the younger generation of Cambodian beer consumers. The bottle and can label naturally feature the world-reknowned Angkor Wat temple. In a bold leap forward for the brand, Black Moon Studio commissioned Chris Mitchell to create a new illustrative icon of the temple to project greater presence and modernity. The temple now appears more heroic and majestic, appealing positively to the younger Cambodian consumer. Chris was fortunate to visit the impressive Angkor Wat temple on an Asian tour prior to the commission.
